Hello! Long time no see... talk...write...... anyways from last blog post, a lot has changed. Certainly there is not just one angel done but a few. Drawn and colored that is. The group was off to a slow start, but the pace has been picking up. There has been some miscommunication, but it is being worked on, so we all can work well together on a project we could be pleased of.
My job has changed to backgrounds now and I like how they are coming out so far. I referenced pictures of stained glass from Sagrada Familia not only for its beauty, but because the way the colors align the walls in a rainbow pattern. This is similar to what my group is trying to achieve.
Now creating two backgrounds does not seem like a lot to do from the month or two time frame of my last blog post, so I am going to show what I was working on previously before I started working on the backgrounds. You can see the updated colors on Raenan's blog.
My goal is to complete all backgrounds by the end of the week so there would be time to fix or improve the background before it is time to officially print the angels. I enjoy making the backgrounds because it is something different than what I am use to since it is a bit more abstract. As I was working on my first and second one I have come to realize that I cannot just randomly place a line and color. Each line and color block has a placement for a reason; a purpose. Due to this experience, I feel more appreciation for the work that goes into making the patterns in stained glass.
